Significant Objects Memory Collages, with Emily Davis and Jennifer Langhammer
Stillpoint
West Tisbury, 02575
How to get there
Saturdays, February 7, February 21, and February 28, 2026
1–3 PM
Join artists Emily Davis and Jennifer Langhammer for a two-hour session of artmaking based on your personal memories. They will guide you through the process of evoking memory and translating it into a three-dimensional collage. These workshops are inspired by Emily’s leaf-based collage work, and by Jennifer’s Significant Objects ceramic sculpture series which will be on view at Featherstone Center for the Arts, in April, and asks participants to share a memory of an object that had meaning to them.
All materials and tools will be provided.
About Jennifer
Jennifer Langhammer is a ceramic sculptor inspired by nature and nostalgia. By imperfectly recreating the everyday she asks you to look at things anew through the lens of memory, which is itself imperfect. She has a BFA in industrial design from California College of Arts, and a post-baccalaureate degree from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. She has shown her work in both public and private galleries, nature centers, and museums, and it is also in private collections around the world.
About Emily
Emily Davis has led leaf-collage workshops at Polly Hill Arboretum, Pathways Arts, the West Tisbury Public Library, and the Oak Bluffs Public Library. Her education and training is in agriculture, environmental education, and horticultural therapy. For the past two years she has worked at public libraries and as a private gardener.
