Group Dog-Training Classes, with Brian Luce of Island Dog Training

This will be a five-week course meeting once a week. During that time, we will cover all of the basic and most important training techniques to help with day-to-day life with your dog. You will learn practical and helpful behaviors in a safe and fun environment. This class is great for dogs of any age, size, or breed. 

The class is limited to five dogs per class, to make sure each dog isn’t overwhelmed and each person gets enough attention. Whether you are just starting your training journey or have taken classes before, anyone who joins can learn something new.

The cost is $325 for five weeks of classes. This price includes all equipment you will receive in class.

Here are some of the behaviors you will learn in class: 

• Recall (coming when called) 

• Leash-walking (an introduction and exercises) 

• Basic obedience (sit, stay, etc.) 

• “Place” command (relaxing on a bed, when told) 

• How to walk by other dogs in public 

• Dealing with barking around other dogs 

• Addressing overexcitement around other dogs/people 

• Jumping on people 

*An initial consultation is required prior to joining. Dogs must have up-to-date shots and must be over 16 weeks old. Dogs with any reactivity, aggression, or extreme fear are not ideal for group classes in this environment. If you need help with any of these issues, please contact me to talk about how I can help.
