Partner/line/fun dancing! Dance steps will be taught.
Please join us for this once-monthly dance event brought to you by the Martha’s Vineyard ballroom dance group, PathwaysARTS, and Stillpoint. There will be a short dance lesson to start, followed by dancing to music provided by DJ Keren Tonnesen (from PathwaysARTS) and friends. People of all ages are welcome. No experience is required. Please wear comfortable shoes. Come with or without a partner.

The price of participation is on a sliding scale ($5–$20).
If you are interested in learning more, professional dance teacher Ellen Brodsky (from Falmouth) will be teaching one Saturday a month at one of the Island libraries: August 29 (Vineyard Haven Library, 3 p.m.), September 26 (Aquinnah Library, 3 p.m.), October 24 (Oak Bluffs Library, 3 p.m.), and November 14 (second Saturday, Edgartown Library, 3 p.m.).
About the dancers
The Martha’s Vineyard ballroom dance group—a bunch of dance-happy amateurs and volunteers—has been meeting and dancing together for more than 30 years. We are delighted to have Ellen Brodsky bring her expertise to dance classes at the six Island libraries. PathwaysARTS is the wonderful Chilmark venue for music, dance, and more, active mostly in the off-season months. Stillpoint is providing this beautiful space to dance in, as well as being our collaborator. Thank you to all!
