Feb 21, 2026 - Feb 28, 2026

Saturdays, February 7, February 21, and February 28, 2026

1–3 PM

Join artists Emily Davis and Jennifer Langhammer for a two-hour session of artmaking based on your personal memories. They will guide you through the process of evoking memory and translating it into a three-dimensional collage. These workshops are inspired by Emily’s leaf-based collage work, and by Jennifer’s Significant Objects ceramic sculpture series which will be on view at Featherstone Center for the Arts, in April, and asks participants to share a memory of an object that had meaning to them.

All materials and tools will be provided.

About Jennifer

Jennifer Langhammer is a ceramic sculptor inspired by nature and nostalgia. By imperfectly recreating the everyday she asks you to look at things anew through the lens of memory, which is itself imperfect. She has a BFA in industrial design from California College of Arts, and a post-baccalaureate degree from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. She has shown her work in both public and private galleries, nature centers, and museums, and it is also in private collections around the world.

Meditating with the Body: An Exploration of Somatic Meditation

Sunday, February 22, 2026 - 11:00 AM EST

Sundays, 11 AM–12:15 PM

Rediscover meditation as a fully embodied practice. Instead of trying to quiet the mind or reach a special state, the practice begins by dropping awareness downward into the physical body. The body becomes the meditation seat, the teacher, and the gateway into awakened presence. Through a series of guided practices, you’ll learn to rest your attention in the body, relax habitual tension, and cultivate a grounded resilience that supports you on and off the cushion.

About Jenna

Jenna Harrison has been dedicated to embodied practice for over 25 years. She began teaching yoga in Los Angeles after completing her training at The White Lotus Foundation in 1995. In 2002, she met Dr. Reggie Ray at Shambhala Mountain Center, where she immersed herself in Buddhist studies and meditation. Authorized to teach by Dr. Ray in 2012, Jenna has since guided groups internationally and worked with students individually, offering meditation instruction rooted in presence, embodiment, and heartfelt connection.

Drop-ins are welcome.

"The Winter Table" Community Suppers

Sunday, February 22, 2026 - 5:30 PM EST

Sundays, starting February 1, 5:30–8 PM

An opportunity for the Island community to get together during the coldest months, The Winter Table is an idea brought to us by Willy Mason, Betsy Carnie, and Ben Robinson, whose aim is to provide free community suppers at Stillpoint, on Sundays at 5:30 p.m., through February.

Each Sunday, Betsy will use upcycled ingredients, donated by local farms and grocers, to create a beautiful and healthy meal. She will also give a brief talk about what upcycled food is and how to use out-of-date products or items that are imperfect in some way. At most of these suppers, Willy will provide music, or introduce other local musicians who will perform live, offering an intimate, listening-room feel in the barn. In addition to the great food and music, participants will also enjoy conversation and find fellowship.

This series is supported entirely by volunteers! If you’d like to join the Winter Table dream team, please email deb@stillpointmv.org.

"What's Written Within" Improvisational Dance

Tuesdays, 4:15–5:15 PM

What’s Written Within is an improvisational dance group that came together on the Island twelve years ago. Dance improvisation is a practice. People of all ages, of all ranges of experience with dance—or perhaps never having danced before—coming together to move with their unique body, with their unique story of what’s written within. Beginning with a gentle group warm-up, the hour will progress to loosely structured improvisations guided by prompts. Sound will be improvised by Bruce MacNelly.

About Sandy, the group’s facilitator

Sandy Broyard began exploring dance improvisation many years ago, with Mary Wigman in Berlin, Germany. Later she spent time with Group Motion in Philadelphia. Fit for Flow

Thursday, February 26, 2026 - 9:00 AM EST

Thursdays, 9 AM

This fitness class, led by Maggie Bucci, is designed to get you fit to flow with the journey of life. It combines elements of Pilates, barre, and functional-strength training, with a dash of HIIT (high-intensity interval training), to help you build strength, endurance, and balance through low-weight, high-repetition exercises and progressions.

Beyond building lean muscle and strength, the class encourages us to explore our capacity to do hard things, meet our edges with curiosity and grace, and take breaks, as needed, before trying again—building mental and physical stamina.

“When I have already accomplished this, I know I can tackle anything else that comes my way today,” a participant might say at the end of this class.

But while highly modifiable, to meet you where you are, the class is not recommended if you have any severe knee, hip, shoulder, or other joint injuries.

Please bring water with you, and a mat if you have one. Optionally, you are also welcome to bring a towel and weights (2–5 lbs.). A limited amount of weights will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

About Maggie

Maggie Bucci is a passionate wellness and movement coach and energy worker. She began her journey into physical and spiritual wellness over 10 years ago. Completing her first certification in anti-gravity aerial yoga in 2016, she has gone on to complete her 200-hour yoga teacher-training (YTT) with Yoga Bohemia in 2017, 300-hour YTT at the Yandara Yoga Institute in 2019, and multiple other certifications over the years (total barre, cross-core, BStrong, and more).

Maggie worked with Reiki energy for several years before receiving her Reiki master attunement in 2018. She continues to share Reiki in classes and with clients. Believing in the connection between spiritual and physical health, she hopes to help those she works with, to tune and tone their spirit, mind, and body to thrive in optimal health, happiness, and vitality.

Beethoven and Rachmaninoff: The Piano and Sound, with Silas Berlin

Saturday, March 7, 2026 - 3:00 PM EST

Learn about the music of these two great composers, and how changes in the construction of the piano contributed to differences in their sound.

As Beethoven lived through seven major developments in piano design, his Piano Sonata No. 11 in B-flat major, Op. 22, reflects a transitional moment. This work perfects the classical sonata while pointing beyond it—simultaneously completing an era and breaking from common practice.

Rachmaninoff, often seen as a bridge between the Romantic past and the modern age, was a “Steinway Artist” who composed on the same piano we recognize today—an instrument capable of immense depth and power. Surrounded by American jazz, his creativity was boundless and  his music reflected this expanded sonic palette, leading to possibilities far beyond what was available in Beethoven’s time.

About Silas

Silas Berlin grew up on Martha’s Vineyard and now lives, teaches, and performs in Seattle. Music endeavors include private teaching, accompanying students of Cornish College, and private events. But most of all, he enjoys returning to the Island and sharing his passion for music.
